What do you do with your bike in the winter, with your snowboard in the summer, with all the stuff you inherited from grandma? Many craftsmen who have their construction site in Munich have to drive their expensive tools in their vans and are afraid they might "walk". Or they trust that their building materials - from tiles to copper tube – will still exist at the site the next morning.

Roland Tubbesing, CEO of ZeitLager Selfstorage GmbH knows the truth: Self storage is the solution - especially safe storage. The idea came as the name suggests - from the United States. There are approximately 40,000 storage units, which in Germany is still relatively uncharted territory: Secured compartments of every shape and size. 

 

Roland Tubbesing’s first facility in Munich, on Landsberger street 161-169, between Donnersberger and Friendenheimer bridges, is open daily. Next to BAUHAUS and the Staples office market the currently ZeitLager facility is ideally suited for bargain hunters who frequent these stores. At around 1,500 sq meters area it can accommodate up to 170 lockable and electronically secure, non-accessible units, each with rolling doors which can be rented. The size depends on individual customer needs from 1 to 40 square meters. 

 

Each tenant receives his own unit and its own PIN code to access 6  am to 10 pm. Incidentally, the entire facility from entry to the storage unit has its own video monitors. 

 

Units can also be rented daily. The great advantage at ZeitLager self-storage: There are no lengthy contract commitments. If space needs to be adjusted (expanded or disposed of) you only have to pay for the space you need. The individual compartments are dry, frost proof and weather-safe and thus also perfect for the storage of files and valuable plans. Thanks to the spacious elevator, customers can use the free trolleys and easily load their goods into the warehouse floor or transport them directly to and from their car.
